Time: How can I enter time into the program.

There are several ways to enter time into the program. For example, if you wanted to enter seven thirty am you could enter it as

07:30 AM

0730 AM

0730 a

Any of these would be a correct way to enter a time into the Mederyx program.

Date: How should I enter dates into the program?

There are several ways to enter dates into the program. For example, if you wanted to enter May 17th, 1989 you could enter it as

05/17/1989

05171989

051789

Any of these would be a correct way to enter a date into the Mederyx program.

Patient Deletion: Can I delete a patient that no longer comes in?

You can not delete a patient if there are any visits attached. You can, however, make a patient inactive.

Visit Insurance: Can I add insurance information for just one visit?

Absolutely! A visit will pull over the patient's insurance by default, but every visit is unique.

You can add, edit, and delete insurance information from a visit until it is submitted. Then you will need permission to change any information.

Delete Insurance: If I delete an insurance from a visit, does it delete from the main patient screen as well?

No. You can add, edit, or delete insurance from an individual visit without touching the patient's main insurance.

This is especially useful when a patient has one or several visits under special circumstances such as workman's compensation.

Routing Slip: Why would I want more than one routing slip or super bill?

Most offices won't need this functionality. One routing slip, or super bill, will be enough.

However, some offices will have doctors that work in multiple locations for example, so having a routing slip specific to each location can come in very handy.

Locations: Can I keep track of appointments in more than one location?

Yes! You can have an unlimited number of locations in Mederyx and switching back and forth is as simple as a push of a button.

No Appointments: Can I keep track of patients seen that did not have an appointment?

Yes! You can add them quickly and easily so that you can make sure no one is overlooked.

Moving Appointments: How hard is it to move an appointment?

Moving an appointment is quick and easy.

If you want to change the time, but keep it on the same day, you can simply drag and drop with your mouse.

If you want to change days, you can open up the appointment and choose the new day, OR right click with the mouse to cut or copy, select the new date, right click again to paste.

Fee Schedules: Can I keep more than one fee schedule?

You can have as many fee schedules as you would like.

That means that not only can you keep your old fee schedules, but you can also have multiple fee schedules that are active.

Tax: My office sells product. Can I charge sales tax in the program?

Yes! You can assign a tax rate to each location that you have in the program.

Tax and Insurance: I want to add a taxable item on the same visit as procedures being sent to insurance. How can I submit this to insurance?

You are free to add everything together in one visit. The program checks before submitting to insurance and will take off any items that are taxed.

This is important because now you can submit to insurance without worry and send a statement to the patient that shows every charge for the day.

Validation: How do I know if my insurance forms have any errors on them before I submit them?

Mederyx has a validation option. If it is turned on, a report showing any errors will be run before the CMS1500 is printed or the electronic file is created.
